Aurina Valley is a community with just 6,000 inhabitants, and it includes a section of the area Valli di Tures e Aurina. The main town of the district is our picturesque village of Cadipietra, where our apartment house is located. The Aurina Valley is surrounded by a unique and breathtakingly beautiful landscape with more than 80 three-thousand-meter peaks. From classic mountain sports activities like mountain biking and Nordic Walking to adventurous canyoning tours: almost everything is possible here. But of course you may also take it easy, and simply relax and enjoy the unique nature during leisurely walks in the beautiful surroundings. Cadipietra/Aurina Valley is the main centre of the valley and at the same time the heart of our community. The unusual name (“Stone House”) derives from the typical large stone houses that characterize the village. The Mining Museum in Cadipietra has to offer very special attractions that will surely fascinate you. Furthermore, with its beautiful skiing and hiking area Klausberg/Monte Chiusetta, the region offers almost limitless recreational opportunities. Among others, the Lake Chiusetta is a very worthwhile destination; it can be easily reached from the mountain station on a leisurely walk.

Beautiful attractions in the surroundings
Even though our house is so wonderfully welcoming: Of course, you will also wish to explore the area and organise some exciting excursions. You should not miss a trip to the Castle of Tures, which is only about seven kilometres away. Not only it counts among the most beautiful buildings in South Tyrol, but also the most powerful and impressive. The Climate Tunnel in Predoi is unique in Italy and an experience for the entire family. The same is true for the Castle of Brunico with the “Messner Mountain Museum”, which is just about 26 kilometres away. And if you wish to spend a car-free day: The Church of Our Lady of Loreto is truly worth a visit. It is located in the heart of our village.
Fun and educational at the same time
How about an excursion to the nature park houses in Casere or Campo Tures? Here you will learn many interesting facts about the regional flora and fauna and get a fascinating insight into the development of agriculture. And finally a special tip: The Folklore Museum in Teodone is since long one of the most beautiful and interesting open-air museums in Europe. It includes, among other things, an outdoor area with a size of four hectares and is ideal for a fun-filled day trip with the entire family.
